The Sweet Stuff Salsa Story

It was late one night in the fall of 2001; I was making another batch of salsa and I made a rather large mistake. I totally “messed up the recipe”. I had added too much of one thing or not enough of another. All I knew was that when I opened the first jar of salsa from the messed up recipe, it was VERY different! More so than any other salsa I had ever tasted. While the recipe may not have gone as planned, all those who tasted that unique taste loved it, and wanted to know how I had achieved that “sweet” non-spicy taste. Many kids who don’t normally like salsa told me they loved it! Everyone was asking for more, but I quickly realized that I had no idea what I had done! I did have a list of ingredients, but not the amounts. For the next 2 years, I played with and tweaked the recipe until I was finially able to say: Hey! I got the “Sweet Stuff” ! My friends and family told me that I had achieved a very unique taste and should market it. Thus Sweet Stuff Salsa was born. Watch our recipe section for ideas on how to use the product.
